Weddings & Special Events at The River Ranch Lodge

The River Ranch is a landmark restaurant and lodge located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe between Squaw Valley and Tahoe City.
Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Truckee River, the River Ranch Lodge is perfect for your special day. The River Ranch staff prides itself on warm hospitality and personal service. From the creativity and expertise of our professional Banquet Manager to our talented and innovative Chef, your party will receive the special attention it deserves.
The River Ranch patio is spacious and picturesque as it overlooks the beautiful Truckee River with pine tree covered mountains as the backdrop. The patio is available during the months of May, June, September and October for a minimum of 100 guests and can accommodate up to 175 guests.

Wedding Services
The Banquet Manager will assist you in selecting the perfect menu to suit your needs and can provide referrals for the areas best florists, musicians, photographers, and other vendors.
Wedding coordination services provided at the River Ranch Lodge include:
Event planning assistance
Menu planning to reflect your personality and needs
Ideas for customized decor arrangements
Arrangements for rentals such as special linen, chairs, and tent.
An event order with written confirmation of all set-up and menu details
Statement of estimated charges,
Patio layout suggestions with proposed diagram
Direction in timing of events such as toasts and cake cutting
Table set-up including place cards, favors, and centerpieces
Coordination the day of the event from beginning to end
Review and preparation of final bill at the conclusion of the event

Wedding Information
Facility Fee: $1,400.00 for a wedding reception
$1,750.00 for a wedding ceremony and reception
Time: The River Ranch rents out the patio for 5 hours any time throughout the day and the latest time available is a 3:30 p.m. ceremony 4:00 cocktails and 5:00 dinner. A $350.00 fee applies for an additional hour or parts thereof. The restaurant bar inside is available in the evening time after the wedding.
Set-up Fee: There is a $2 per person fee that includes the supply of round tables with white plastic chairs, and standard white linen, as well as plates, silver and glassware by the River Ranch. Special linen and chairs may be ordered at an additional cost. Tables are also provided for guest sign in, place cards, gifts, wedding cake and for the D.J. Chairs for the ceremony are set in traditional rows with a center aisle and aisle runners, floral stands or arbor may be arranged through your florist.
Cuisine: The River Ranch provides all food and beverage and does not allow any outside catering. We offer buffet menus for weddings and they range from $35-$45 per person. In addition, there is a wonderful array of display and passed appetizers perfect during cocktails after the ceremony. All menu items and prices are subject to change.
Cake Cutting: A $1 per person cake cutting fee applies for service of the wedding cake. The River Ranch does not provide wedding cakes
Bar: The River Ranch provides all beverages including hard alcohol, beer, wine and champagne. There is a private bar on the patio and a $20 per hour bartender fee applies. The bar can be customized to your needs and either hosted, cash or a combination of the two. Wine is billed by the bottle and our wine list is subject to change.
Rentals: Special linen and chairs can be rented and all outside rentals including a tent for back-up if inclement weather, are handled through the River Ranch. All rental items will be billed at actual cost plus a 20% service charge.
Vendors: The River Ranch has a list of local vendors including florists, bakers, marriage officiates, photographers, musicians etc. that we have had the pleasure of working with and can highly recommend.
Tax & Service: All food and beverage is subject to a 20% service charge and the entire bill is subject to a 8.25% sales tax.
Contract: A contract must be signed to confirm the event date.
Deposits: In order to book your wedding, a $2,000 non-refundable deposit is required along with a signed contract. 50% of the estimated final bill is due 2 months prior to the event. All deposits are non-refundable and apply to your final bill.
Payments: Final payment is due in full on the day of the event after its completion. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and cash. Personal checks are not accepted as final payment.
Lodge Rooms: The River Ranch has 19 lodge rooms and the bride/groom are responsible for booking all available rooms. There is a two night minimum.
